A trip through the cloud…
No, I don’t mean a legit cloud. We are not talking cumulus, cirrus, nimbus, or stratus. I am talking about the cloud of tags on the side there. You see it, right? The one on the right side of this page? Yep, that one.
I just did something I haven’t done in a while. I randomly clicked somewhere in the cloud and read what came up. It was an interesting experience. I found the first time I met Katherine (my Facebook daughter now) and said that she seemed like a rather nice sort. I found funerals. I found Ren Faire. I found the cutest foreign exchange student ever. Reflections on writing both mine and writing as a group. And a speech by Temple Grandin. Oh, and I even found my first entry from before I got the whole idea of tags, which I must’ve gone back and tagged at some point. November 2007 me is very direct and to the point. October 2010 me is much more rambling in general. I think, even though I’d had websites before, it took me a bloody long time to get comfortable with putting something I write out there for people. Maybe that’s why I’m cool with being in 2 in-person writing groups now. I’m finally comfortable saying: yep, those are my thoughts and that’s what I wrote. You like it: cool. You don’t: also cool. At least you read it and thought about what I wrote.
I don’t know if I’m the only one who would think this, but I think it was rather fun. It’s like reading a diary that you forgot about.
