    First Drafts

    Over at Clarion’s Blog they’re writing about first drafts today.  I thought that it was interesting that she basically says that her first draft is an info dump and her subsequent ones are where they all get whittled down.  I work something like that, only I add to it first and then subtract.  So, I thought I’d write about how I did my first drafts for the trilogy-turned-series when I first wrote them at the age of 12.     On being a pastry…

    I heard something a couple of weeks ago that somewhat irks me. Apparently, if you’re unmarried by the time you’re 30 it’s a problem. Specifically, men are untrustworthy at that point and women are no longer any good. The metaphor that’s used for this is the Christmas Cake. This is a cake that is given on the 25th of December and is no longer edible by the 30th. Apparently, I am this delicious looking confection and this is somehow a bad thing. Being 27, almost 28, and unmarried is seen as a bad thing.  It bothers me that I catch flack from people for not being in a serious relationship…

    Hi all.  Sorry for not writing in a while.  I got a couple emails that said essentially the same thing: “Where are you Ms. T./Christina/Mama K/Random Blogging Chick/Random Writing Chick?”  So I thought I would explain. I have been subbing during the day.  Taking classes at night.  Working for my mom’s college entrance business as their essay specialist.  Copywriting for a couple of people.  Reading books that I need to write reviews on for a few websites.  Taking a 3 day, 2 night vacation.  Wrapping up Pioneer Clubs for the year.  Getting updates from my friends in Japan.  Finding out the the Japanese programs won’t be sending people for at…
