    365 Grateful: Dad

    Okay, so this is another slightly sappy one.  Yesterday was my father’s birthday, but we celebrated it today.  He is now 61 and still one of the most brilliant people I have ever met.  He is kind, funny, smart.  He is supportive, knowledgeable, and loving.  He is nostalgic, goofy, and really rather a teddy bear. I call him “D” and he calls me “B”.  Neither has anything to do with our names, the letters we call each other have to do with nicknames from my childhood.  I’ve always been a daddy’s girl and I always will be.  He taught me about superheroes, faith, and being good with who I am,…

    365 Grateful: Library

                                                       Today, I’m grateful for my library. It’s not the library in my town, but the one in the next town over. The picture above is one of the doors.  I have been working here since about 11AM (and I’ve gotten a CRAZY amount of work done), but just a few minutes ago, I had my first issue with bloodsugar in about 6 months.  I had eaten before I got here and forgot my extra food at home, but I figured that I’d be fine since I hadn’t had an issue while I was sick, and I wasn’t eating…

    Welcome 2013…

    I have done something today that’s been a bit of a goal for a while now.  I have organized my clost.  Now, it’s not perfect yet, but it’s almost there.  I’ve bought extra drawers so I have essentially an adult dresser’s worth of space now between the dresser I had as a kid and the sets of drawers in my closet.  Moving my sister’s stuff to her room freed up a third of my closet and allowed me a little more bookshelf space up top.  I still need something extra for storage on my bedside, but I’m not sure what that’s going to look like because I haven’t found anything…
