Writing Retreat

My goals are to spend the majority of my days and evenings writing. Many of them I will do where I am staying, and some I will do out and about in some of my favourite Seattle places (parks, cafes, on the water, etc.). Conference
So, I went to a teacher’s conference at Red Rock this past weekend (just got home today) and I actually had fun at this one. My friend, Glen, gave me a very indignant legal lecture that lead to us taking two vans instead of one so that I could go in the van with the guys. He essentially told me that it was ridiculous for me to think that I was inconveniencing anyone and that I needed to stop worrying about that as work is legally required to provide transportation and I’m apparently not an inconvenience anyways because splitting into two vans would make the ride more comfortable for everyone. …

England
I love England (like my wonderful friend whom I call EJ, but the rest of the world knows as Julie). For me, it feels like home in a strange way that other places simply don’t. I just spent 8 days traveling about with a tour group of students and one of my favorite people/good friend/co-worker. The trip was brilliant fun and thanks to the particular group of students we went with I had a British accent, my normal accent, and a Southern accent at various points and sometimes within a singular sentence.
