Thoughts on the Term “THOT”
A former student posted a meme with the term "THOT" on it and it made me cringe. I ended up talking to the student about why it bothers me. I know people are going to come at me for saying I'm a feminist (mainly because they have the wrong idea about what that means), but I am. I am also against discrimination based on religion, race, class, age, sexual orientation, and physical abilities. On Long Absences and Things that Make Me Smile…
I realized the other day that I hadn’t posted here for round about five months. This made me a touch sad. Then, I realized why I hadn’t posted, and that made me happy. So, then, obviously, I needed to post about it. 😛 I’ve been writing a LOT. I did another class through Gotham. This helped me figure out why my prologue was making me annoyed enough that I wanted to hurl it’s digital pages into a tornado and watch them spin and then be crushed by a flying cow or tractor or something else large and heavy. 365 Grateful: Michi-chan
Clean work desk. Yes, those are colour-coded and size-ordered stacks of stickies on the right side of the image. Tonight, I am grateful for Michi-chan, a student of mine from Japan. I taught her English a year and a half ago and she is possibly the cutest kid ever. She’s bubbly, athletic, smart, and sweet all at once. Today, we match. I had a little argument with a set of stairs and the stairs once, so my left knee is in rough shape. Unfortunately for Michi-chan, this makes us twinsies.
