Buttons

Okay, so this is a little random, but I collect buttons. What I love about them is that they can say something profound, goofy, or just a little bit true in 1-15 words, a bit of colour, and maybe an image. There’s something interesting about something small that says something big.

I saw, the other day, a segment on a news show called “In three words” and it works the same way as my buttons. It was rather cool. It made me smile. It choked me up a little and made me laugh a lot.

I think that this is why people like post secret too. Something small that says something in a few words and an image. It these little bits that allow us to connect. In a way, buttons, In three words, and post secret are the perfect forms of communication for a world that wants instant gratification.
