Guerrilla Writing
So, someone asked me the other day about my productivity level. Then they said, “Well, you’re young, that helps.” I half-jokingly responded with, “No, I have insomnia, that helps.” They laughed. I laughed. We laughed. Laughter is good. But I thought I would take a minute to actually write out how I go about my life for people. The first thing to know is that only two things will get me up in the morning: teaching (happily) and emergencies (not-so-happily). Therefore, my schedule is a little weird to most people. Apologies and some such nonsense…
So, I understand that in order for a blog to be functional one must, in fact, blog. Sorry for disappearing for a bit. However, I just don’t have the energy of late so this will be an interim-sorta-kinda-blog for until I get the time to put in the three or so not-sorta-kinda blogs that I’m currently working on. First, let me explain why I’ve not been writing. I am in the middle of wedding season, which means I have a bazillion and one friends getting married. Apparently, even when I don’t have a job I’m a workaholic…
So, I wrote out my schedule the other day and realized that between tutoring, classes, homework/study time I’m still a crazy workaholic. I’m always working on something. I only have Friday free all week and I have class at 9am the next day so there’s no staying out late even then. I also realized that I need to write in my gym time I think. Because as far as priorities go, I only remember things so long as they’re written down. So, onto writing things into my calendar I go.
