7 Empowering Songs from Disney
Well, readers-mine, November was a complicated month, and I just watched the live-action Mulan. It got me thinking about Disney songs and the power of them. When I looked up lists empowering songs from Disney, many of them weren't actually about empowerment, but were fun to sing or were simply the song certain movies are known for. Neil Gaiman
Neil Gaiman is a man that I think just about every writer should respect regardless of their field of writing. I just sent him an email personally and it got me thinking about why he is an author that I adore and respect so much. Some of it has to do with the sheer volume and variety of his work. He’s written books, comics (he claims that calling him a graphic novelist makes him “feel like a hooker who has just been told she’s a ‘lady of the night’.”), films, and theatre.
