Life and absenteeism
Sorry I’ve been an absentee blogger of late and please forgive the lengthiness of this post. I’ve been buried under so much work it’s insane. A teacher at the school I work at was arrested for innappropriate communication with a minor and I took on three of his classes. I have been working day in and day out in order to be on top of things and I still feel like I’m not. I’ve been working so much that I’ve spent and grand total of two days off in two months. Musings in Writing
Here is the thing that I find…writing is a solitary sort of thing. I mean, you can do it with someone else in the room but sooner or later they are phased out of your mind and get phased out of the room if not kicked out directly. This never used to bother me. The Thing About Writing…
Yes, writing is something that allows us to communicate with others. Yes, writing is a way for us to express ourselves. Yes, writing is a way to put down the stories that play like movies in my head. The thing about writing though, just like my art and my photography, is that it is primarily something I do alone. I mean, someone can come and watch me write, but eventually they’ll become such a distraction that I’ll ask them to leave.
