    Life and absenteeism

    Sorry I’ve been an absentee blogger of late and please forgive the lengthiness of this post.  I’ve been buried under so much work it’s insane.  A teacher at the school I work at was arrested for innappropriate communication with a minor and I took on three of his classes.  I have been working day in and day out in order to be on top of things and I still feel like I’m not.  I’ve been working so much that I’ve spent and grand total of two days off in two months.  I’m constantly exhausted, stressed out, and have been sick for round about seven weeks at this point.  This week…

    Not Writing Related…

    Seriously, it’s November. I know that I’m now living in the desert. I know that people irrigate the hell out of this place so that they don’t have to remember that it’s a desert. What I want to know is how they can manage to forget it. Its 88 degrees! In November! How much more desert-y can you get? Seriously? I’m missing New England and the cooler days, bright colours, and sweaters. I have all these great sweaters and they’re WAAAAY too warm for this weather. I miss wearing them.     My Trip to California

    So, I’ve decided to keep a running log of what has happened over my trip, since it seems to be rather an amusing and bittersweet sort of trip. The Planes and Old Friends:I left work an hour early on Friday, April 17, 2009.
