I am not saying that redheads have it as difficult as minority groups that deal with systemic racism or oppression, but I am using us as an example of strange things that people say or do if you stand out as different. Thoughts on the Term “THOT”
A former student posted a meme with the term "THOT" on it and it made me cringe. I ended up talking to the student about why it bothers me. I know people are going to come at me for saying I'm a feminist (mainly because they have the wrong idea about what that means), but I am. I am also against discrimination based on religion, race, class, age, sexual orientation, and physical abilities. On The Help and Abilene Cooper
I have seen this article all over Facebook again and I thought I would give my two cents. The original case was thrown out based on the time it took for the woman to make her claim (the author gave her a book with a note that said she named her main character Abilene, but that it was based on the woman who raised her, a maid by the name of Demetrie McLorn).
