Howard Philips Lovecraft (20 August 1890-15 March 1937) was the creator of the Cthulhu Mythos, a writer of weird fiction, and a master of horror. He wrote for pulp magazines and focused in on the idea of where humanity fits into the universe, a genre that has come to be known as cosmic horror.
