I think that this video is a beautiful expression of the shared experiences of humanity. I think she’s right, everyone lives in a closet of one sort or another at some point in their life. Because of that, if you feel alone at some point, this is a great thing to watch. If you’re not feeling alone, but you’re listening to someone else, remember: “Hard is not relative. Hard is hard.” I wish that we could all follow the pancake girl rules.

Surviving the World
I love the blog Surviving the World. By their own description, the blog is: “a webcomic focusing on all shades of life, from science to literature, politics to sports, romance to religion, and everything else in between”. It’s run by Dante, a chemical engineering teaching professor at Northeastern in Boston who was awesome enough to grant me permission to post this, and I discovered it while teaching in Fall River, MA. Usually, their pithy, pointy, and well-informed. Make sure you check out the site. For example, this is one of my favourite ones: Lesson #1238 – Harassment

"My Letter to Hip Hop" by Bridget Gray
I love Hip Hop, but sometimes, I do wonder about the songs that make it big. “Hold up. I got this plan. stop callin’ yourself a ‘nigga’ and a ‘boy’ and call yourself a ‘man’.” and “Money really ain’t a thing when you give up your dignity” are two of my favourites in here.
