365 Grateful–Gotham
So, I actually got interested in Gotham initially because I the name and my love of Batman. Once I realized that it was like Grub Street in Boston, I was thrilled. It’s a n awesome writing community and series of classes. Where I am, they have nothing like the Boston and NYC writing groups and programs. I wish they did. So, today, I am grateful for Gotham Writers’ Workshop and the class that I am currently taking that is coming to a close this week. Also, for really cool quotes by really cool authors.

More Grub Street Goodness
I love Grub Street. I’ve mentioned this before here and here and here. I have now found one more reason to love them. Check out their descriptions of inanimate objects that you can sponsor to help them out with their move. When writers are all awesome and communal, creating a space for them to work in, the humor and brilliance just shines right on through. I think that this is one more reason to love being Grubby. The Thing About Writing…
Yes, writing is something that allows us to communicate with others. Yes, writing is a way for us to express ourselves. Yes, writing is a way to put down the stories that play like movies in my head. The thing about writing though, just like my art and my photography, is that it is primarily something I do alone. I mean, someone can come and watch me write, but eventually they’ll become such a distraction that I’ll ask them to leave.
