Polyvore
So, I’ve discovered this odd site called Polyvore. Essentially, it lets you put together clothing inspiration boards. It’s kinda fun. So, I thought I’d try it out and share a bit. What do you guys think? I may keep using it and posting every once in a while, I may not. Let me know your thoughts on it. Seems like it could both help you picture a character and be pretty limiting. Shaun Tan, Neil Gaiman, Characters and Planning
So, I read the conversation between Shaun Tan and Neil Gaiman (Renaissance men involved in about a billion projects, look them up if you don’t know them) that was featured in The Guardian and this bit popped out to me because, even though they’re planners, they can understand and explain those of use who are not and cannot be. I know that I have said before, if you can be a planner, do so. It will make your life infinitely more easy. I, however, don’t seem to be able to. Doctor Who
I’ve gone on a strange Doctor Who kick of late. I loved the old ones and I love the new ones, but my focus of late seems to be on the 2005-current series. It’s a show that makes me smile. It does dark and creepy. It does rage and fire. It does funny and sarcastic. It does old school sci fi and new school sci fi. It does philosophy and faith. It does history and future dreams or nightmares. And let’s be honest, there is practically no other show on the planet that combines Shakespeare, magic, aliens, murder, and wit all in one episode.
