History of Rap 4 (Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake)
Well done, boys, well done. Though my favourite part is how they’re trying to act serious, but you can tell that they’re just dying to crack up. They’re having a blast and I appreciate people having fun with what they do. It’s clear that they’re friends as well as interviewer and interviewee. Plus, give it up to the Roots for their ability to shift with Fallon and Timberlake.

Sara Bareilles – "Brave"
I like this song for a writer because it’s all about the importance of words and the way you use them. A lot of times what I find with young writers is that they have a fear of saying what they want to say. I constantly get: “Ms. K., can I say that?” “Oh, I probably shouldn’t have written that. I might offend someone.” “If I read this, are you going to be okay with it? It’s about ________.” “Is that too weird?” or my recent favourite: “Fuck, Ms. K., I dunno if I should let my characters swear.” My response is always to ask/say: “Is it what you want…
